Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Iritis

Iritis is the most common type of uveitis. Uveitis occurs equally in males and females. Iritis is a form of anterior uveitis and refers to the inflammation of the iris of the eye. There are two main types of iritis: acute and chronic. Acute iritis is a type of iritis that can heal independently within a few weeks. Chronic iritis can exist for months or years before recovery occurs. Chronic iritis does not respond to treatment as well as acute iritis does. Chronic iritis is also accompanied by a higher risk of serious visual impairment. The symptoms of iritis include light sensitivity, red eye, blurred vision, tearing, pain, and sometimes floaters.

About 40 % of people with AS will produce iritis and it is normally abrupt and repeated. Iritis occurs in 17 folk per 100,000 folk per year. However, nearly half of all those with iritis transport the HLA B27 gene. Iritis is normally seen in folk with ankylosing spondylitis or reactive arthritis. The iris is the colored region of the heart, which lies behind the clear cornea. There are many complications of iritis may include cataract, glaucoma, corneal calcification, derriere uveitis, blindness, ring keratopathy, and cystoid macular oedema. Muscles controlling the iris alter the size of the student to adapt to soft conditions.

Steroids and anti-inflammatory drops are prescribed to reduce inflammation in the eye. Dilating drops also make the eye more comfortable by relaxing the muscle that constricts the pupil. In addition, eye drops and ointments are used to relieve pain, quiet the inflammation, dilate the pupil, and reduce any scarring which may occur. Both steroids and antibiotics may be used. The application of hot packs may also provide relief from the symptoms of iritis. Wear dark glasses if light worsens your eye pain. Take mild analgesics, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil), to help control some of the discomfort.

Eat sweet vegetables and fruits. Eat a fibre wealthy nutrient. Fiber improves working of bowel and stabilizes the symptoms. Avoid caffeine and plump. They may induce cramps in bowel. Drink at least eight glasses of water every day. Avoid carbonated beverages. Gas produced payable to their intake will exacerbate the symptoms. Eat tiny meals often instead of a big meal. Eat foods which carry better sum carbohydrates e. g. rice, pasta and then on. Home remedies really efficient against iritis. Take peppermint oil in enteric-coated capsules. Drink ginger tea or consume ginger uncooked to cut inflammation.
